Ethnographic House

The township of Uzon has a small Protestant village, Sepsimagyarós, with only a hundred inhabitants. One of the depopulated houses of the old village (its last owners were Imre and Vilma Barabás) was bought by the local government a few years ago, and the right of use was handed over to the  Association for Sepsimagyarós on condition that they furnish it as a Folk House.

The three cell wooden building with a porch was built in the second half of the 1870s, roofed with small tile with pointed ends. Museum founder Zoltán Bálint from Árkos carried out its restoration. Much of the exhibited ethnographic objects originate from the estate of Ernő Csulak in Szárazajta, but there are pieces purchased both locally and elsewhere. Visitors are welcome to the house, local teacher, Erika Gál has the key.
