The water of the sulphurous spring gushing near the centre of the village situated in Baraolt Region was used for healing already in the 19th century. Evoking the past experience, it was introduced into the modern treatment center built in 2014 within the framework of the project The Road of Mineral Waters.
In summer 2016 the members of the Bath and Community Building Voluntary Co-operative Work Movement from Szeklerland, tended by the Ars Topia Foundation from Hungary, rebuilt the Büdös Bath in Belin. The volunteers were invited to the village by the Vinca Minor Association, in charge of the custody of the Ciomad-Balvanyos Natura 2000 site. The plans were made by landscape architects and university students from Hungary; the work was also organized by them. The locals were also involved in the work; the villagers provided accommodation and catering for the volunteers.
In the course of the community strengthening co-operative work the basin of the bath was renovated, a sunbathing terrace, a dressing cabin and a cabana were built, the spring was renovated, its environment was restored, roads and anti-erosion facilities were formed, information boards were made. The willow chapel and the playground also praise the creativity of the participants.
