Egg decorating

József Kecskés started to decorate fragile eggshells in 2003. He learnt this trade from Ádám Majos, a farrier from Sfântu Gheorghe, and since then he developed this trade to artistic levels.

His devices are tools. To hole the eggs he uses a quadrangular drill bit, besides this his set of tools consists of an eyebrow tweezers, penknife, an ordinary tweezers, hammer and anvil. The scalloped eggs are made by a small polishing machine.

József Kecskés regularly participates in folk-art exhibitions and fairs. His works, which are made with great patience, decorate many houses.
