Réty has two buildings preserving the memory of the Antos family. An outstanding member of the family was János Antos (1819-1906), Lieutenant Colonel of the 1848/49 Hungarian War of Independence, who was sentenced to six years of imprisonment in 1850. He was released with grace, and then retired to Abony where his tomb is. The members of the Antos family who stayed at home died by the end of the 19th century so the built mansion in the 1820s become the property of a rich timber merchant from Gyergyó, Márton Lajos. One of his sons sold it to a Saxon painter named Kimm Fritz who transformed the building's dining room into a studio.
After World War II, the nationalized mansion functioned as school, party headquarters, library, kindergarten, and was used for decades as a medical doctor's office and as the doctor’s service residence. A few years ago, the building was in run-down, deplorable condition, but in 2009, the local government received EU financial resources for a complete renovation. The mansion obtaining a new function has become one of the attractions of the village centre. Within its walls, they have afternoon courses for the local primary school children.
